Step 1: Choose Your Cause: If you have never really thought out a donation before, like many consumers, you may not know just where to start. Well, when donating a car, the first step is to choose the cause that you would like the proceeds generated from your car donation to help. Most charities fit into our 8 categories as you will find. The categories that you can choose from here are protect the environment, rescue animals, defeat hunger & homelessness, save children, support veterans, find the cure, empower the disabled and finally, provide humanitarian aid. Once you have made the decision as to which cause you would like to donate to, it’s time to move onto step 2!
Step 2: Choose Your Charity: Once you choose your cause, it is suggested that you click on this cause from the Cars Helping Charities home page. You will be taken to a new page that spotlights one of the best charities within that cause. You will find the charities logo and a description. Below each description, you will find a link to more charities like the spotlighted charity that you can choose to donate a car to as well. If you would like to compare all listed charities under a specific cause, simply click this link and you can simultaneously compare charities that would love your car donation.
Step 3: (Optional): If you have a charity in mind and it is not listed here at Cars Helping Charities, that doesn’t mean that you can not donate to them. As a matter of fact, here at Cars Helping Charities, we feel as though we revolutionized the process of car donations by allowing you to donate to any charity of your choice. That’s right, as long as the charity that you would like to donate a car to is a legal non for profit organization, we will process your car donations and donate the proceeds to whatever charity you would like us to listed, or not!
Once you complete these steps, you should have a good idea of where you would like the proceeds from your car to be donated. The next step is to simply donate your car.
