Victim Outreach Incorporated (VOI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting healing, safety, and hope for individuals and families impacted by crime and trauma across Jefferson County, Colorado.

VOI provides free, voluntary, and confidential support 24/7/365 to both primary and secondary victims (family members and witnesses). Clients do not need to file a police report or have an active court case to receive assistance.

Core Services Include:

  • 24/7 Crisis Response & On-Scene Advocacy: Immediate, trauma-informed support alongside law enforcement on-scene during crisis situations
  • Empowerment-Based Safety & Recovery Planning: Personalized risk assessments, basic needs stabilization, and guidance to help survivors regain control of their lives.
  • Rights & Justice Navigation: Comprehensive support understanding Colorado Crime Victim Rights, navigating the legal system, and assisting with Crime Victim Compensation applications.
  • Emergency Financial Support & Referrals: Access to victim subsidy funds and direct connections to local housing, counseling, and medical resources.
  • Sustained Follow-Up Care: Long-term advocacy, employer intercession, and ongoing trauma-informed support through every stage of recovery.

VOI works closely with local law enforcement—including Arvada, Golden, Edgewater, Lakeside, Mountain View, Wheat Ridge, and the Colorado School of Mines Police Departments—ensuring seamless, compassionate support when trauma strikes.
