Kempe Foundation

The Kempe Center treats abused children, trains professionals, and conducts research to ensure a healthy and hopeful future for these innocent victims. Every child seen at The Kempe Center is in the hands of the nation’s leading experts on child abuse. The Kempe Center hosts innovative programs that treat abused children (from birth to age 18), train professionals and research treatment methods to help and heal the most children.

Dr. Kempe also recognized that practitioners and professionals would need the help of the entire community to end child abuse. The Kempe Foundation was established and community leaders, philanthropists and business people were called upon to spearhead fundraising, awareness and advocacy efforts in order to recognize and do something about child abuse and neglect.
