The Museum envisions an empowered community that loves, understands, and protects our natural world. Last year, the Museum served 1.7 million members and guests; more than 321,000 people visited in school and youth groups, nearly all for free or at a reduced cost; and 70 percent of the research collections were moved to their new forever home in the Avenir Collections Center. Since opening our doors more than 100 years ago, the Museum has grown along with Denver and today is committed to serving our world-class city’s wonderfully diverse population. Each day the Museum’s fresh approach to discovery critically supplements what kids learn during the school day and inspires people of all ages to newly engage with our amazing world.
