The mission of Colorado AIDS Project is to equitably meet the evolving needs of people affected by HIV through prevention, care and advocacy across Colorado.
Colorado AIDS Project envisions a future where all people living with HIV and AIDS have equal access to high quality primary and specialty medical care that is caring and culturally competent; where HIV-related stigma and homophobia is erased; and where those at-risk have access to accurate information so that transmission of the disease is lessened/ended.
The Colorado AIDS Project strives to discover efficiencies, improve services, and leverage funding so we may have greater and more sustainable impact. We are responding to a rapidly evolving need and our community’s insulation against unknown future federal and state mandates and unpredicted changes in funding. The new, statewide Colorado AIDS Project is situated to serve, no matter what the future holds. We speak with a voice that we believe national funders, lawmakers, and influencers will hear and respond to. Their response will have a large impact on individuals living with, or at risk of, HIV.
To bring this vision to life, we need the help of generous corporate and charitable foundations and other institutional funders, as well as individual donors – ones that are serious about impact on public health. Our goal is to both solidify relationships with our long-standing funding partners, and forge new relationships with new funders that seek opportunities to make the highest possible impact on reducing the suffering and stigma associated with HIV/AIDS and curbing the transmission of the disease.
