Visiting Nurse Association

Founded by community volunteers in 1889 as the Denver Flower Mission dedicated to comforting Denver’s sick and poor, the Visiting Nurse Association was Colorado’s first home healthcare agency. More than 120 years later, VNA’s compassionate, dedicated, and experienced healthcare professionals are recognized for their expert, personal medical attention and for their strong tradition of assuring continuity of care while creating warm relationships with our patients.

Colorado’s leading nonprofit health care agency for people and their families, the Visiting Nurse Association of Colorado (VNA) provides quality and compassionate care, ranging from preventive to recovery to end-of-life, in the home and community.  We address people’s unique needs, supporting their optimal well-being, independence and dignity. Our care enables people to remain active members of their communities.

As the oldest, nonprofit home healthcare agency in the state, VNA has a proven track record of serving all who need us, including Colorado’s low-income and medically under-served residents. Serving these individuals—regardless of their ability to pay—requires community support.

Remarkable things happen at Visiting Nurse Association every day, yet we can do so much more with your help. You can touch the lives of some of the most vulnerable members of our community. What greater contribution could anyone make? Your gift is truly appreciated.
