Teton Youth & Family Services

The mission of Teton Youth & Family Services (TYFS) is to help children and families find their way to fulfilling and constructive lives. TYFS is an independent private non-profit organization, that has been serving children and families in Teton County and beyond since 1977, when Van Vleck House first opened its doors as a drop-in center for teens. TYFS is now the umbrella organization for three entities that are crucial to child welfare in our community and state: Van Vleck House, which includes a Group Home and Crisis Center and Court Diversion Services; Red Top Meadows, which provides residential treatment and wilderness programs for adolescent males; and the Hirschfield Center for Children which provides programs for families and children as well as forensic interviews for children subject to neglect and/or abuse.

Teton Youth and Family Services operates out of three sites in Teton County, Wyoming. The Hirschfield Center for Children and Van Vleck Group Home are located at 510 South Cache and serve children and families from Teton, Sublette and Lincoln Counties. Adam’s Canyon Crisis Shelter facility is owned by Teton County and the program is operated by Teton Youth and Family Services. The Crisis Shelter is located in Adam’s Canyon and serves children from Teton, Sublette, and Lincoln Counties.
